About Fiona

Fiona Thomas Hargraves is an exercise scientist, nutritionist and mother of two. She has a Bachelor of Science (exercise science) from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and studied a minor in journalism at San Francisco State University. She interned as a clinical exercise physiologist at Scripps Memorial Hospital in San Diego before returning to Sydney for a post-graduate research fellowship at the Children’s Hospital Institute of Sports Medicine at Westmead and to lecture in Human Movement. Fiona recently completed a Master of Human Nutrition from Deakin University in Melbourne.

A committed fitness professional since 1990, Fiona has considerable industry experience including pediatrics, post-natal and corporate health, as a personal trainer ‘to the stars’, an international presenter and a group exercise instructor in Australia and the USA. Fiona writes for magazines and websites, has been a guest on Sunrise and enjoys presenting on a range of health topics for a wide variety of audiences. Fiona speaks French, studied landscape design for fun and lives with her husband, two children and two dogs in Sydney.
